Membership Terms and Conditions

Terms of Use

  1. Membership dues are paid monthly via the credit card provided during registration. Payments will continue to be processed via that payment method until canceled, maintaining active membership in Great Lakes Country Club (GLCC). In the event a change in membership dues occurs, active members will be notified and provided instruction on how to ensure their membership remains active.

  2. Members will receive a new GLCC membership identification card at the beginning of each member year. The member identification card is required upon check-in at the course. Courses reserve the right to ask for government issued identification to verify the person presenting the card is indeed the active member.

  3. When booking tee times at partner course, members are to identify themselves as a GLCC member. This could be thought of similarly to booking a reciprocal round with traditional memberships. For instance, "Hello, I am a Great Lakes Country Club member looking to book a round on [DATE], what do you have available?" The course may ask for your member identification number in addition to your name at the time of booking.

  4. If a deposit is required at booking, GLCC members may be charged a deposit for holding their round. That deposit should not exceed the total fees to be charged to the booking GLCC member upon checking in.

  5. When playing GLCC partner courses, members will not be charged a greens fee for their round, but if using a cart or other course services, they may be required to pay for those additional services. Cart fees for GLCC members will be charged at the lesser of the posted cart fees or $25. For instance, if a course is charging $20 cart fees for 18 holes, the member will pay $20; whereas, if the posted cart fee is $27 for that same round, the member will pay $25. If it is course policy to charge a cart fee on all rounds, members will be responsible for the cart fee as outlined in these terms. The cart fee - regardless of whether a cart is utilized - is mandatory for all weekend rounds.

  6. Membership benefits (e.g., covered greens fees, capped cart fees, etc.) are available to the member during the membership season, covering the period from 1 April to 31 October each year. In the remaining months of active membership, members will be made aware of shoulder season and off-season benefits provided by partner courses via email at the email address on file.

  7. Courses may file a complaint against a member for violating membership terms or actions that violate courses policies. A member who has a complaint filed against them will be notified by GLCC, the nature and severity of the complaint will be considered, and - if deemed necessary - action up to cancelation of membership can be taken unilaterally by GLCC.

  8. GLCC reserves the right to cancel a membership at any time for failure to comply with membership terms and conditions. These terms and conditions inherently include the policies of GLCC partner courses, so failure to comply with course policies are grounds for cancellation of membership. This is an extension of section six (6), as GLCC can proceed with cancellation of membership outside of a course-filed complaint, if member actions are not in keeping with the terms and conditions.

  9. As GLCC does not operate the partner courses, it cannot make any guarantees as to the provision of benefits at any course. Each partner course will be bound by an agreement to provide services to members, however, partner courses are susceptible to interruption of operations, business closure, etc.

  10. Members who book a tee time at a GLCC partner course are financially responsible for that tee time. If a member no shows for a tee time they booked with a GLCC partner course, the course will be encouraged to file a complaint against the booking member. That complaint will follow the complaint process and resolution will be sought with the member.

  11. GLCC memberships are non-transferable. Only the person whose name is on the membership identification card is eligible to use the membership.

  12. GLCC same day replay opportunity is at the sole discretion of the partner course.

  13. Booking more than eight rounds (two foursomes) of GLCC members is at the discretion of the partner course. GLCC memberships are not intended to be leveraged for organized group outings, however, if partner courses are amenable to it, it is not prohibited.

  14. Membership terms and conditions can be modified by GLCC at any time if determined - at the discretion of GLCC -  it is necessary for the betterment of the program. Continued participation as indicated by continued payment of the monthly dues is to be considered acceptance of the updated terms and conditions.

  15. Members agree to receive marketing and non-marketing communication from Great Lakes Country Club and its agents. The periodicity of communication is undetermined, but the intent of the communication is to ensure members are aware of courses and benefits available to them.

Cancellation Policy

  1. Cancellation of membership is available at any time, but the member's membership identification card must be returned to GLCC to complete the cancellation process. If a member cancels their membership via the website (i.e., removing the payment method) but does not return their member identification card, they will be invoiced via email and held responsible for charges through the remainder of the membership year or until their membership identification card is returned.

  2. If membership is canceled, request to join Great Lakes Country Club in the subsequent membership year is at the discretion of GLCC. It is recommended the member submit that request via email to support@greatlakescountryclub.com before registering online and submitting payment, as payments will not be refunded in the event that request is denied.
